Modern nourishment wants to break those barriers and talk all about the real shit that goes down when you’re trying to live a healthy lifestyle.
Living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t always come easy. Sometimes you have phases of eating really healthy, have a good gym routing, and suddenly you lose your motivation.
With social media it can be extremely overwhelming with people suggesting all sorts of different diets, products, and workouts. It’s also important not to follow everyone’s advice and do what feels best for ourselves!
When I first began eating healthy, it was only about appearances. I then transitioned onto actually wanting to eat for health and not just looks. I started to look at the ingredients in my food and ask myself if this was right for my body. It seems pretty easy right, just eat natural foods, and stay away from the processed ones. At this point in time I already know what doesn’t align with my body, so just avoid it right? Well, unless i’m the only one, apparently its not as easy as it sounds…
I’ve found myself in this constant cycle of just eating whatever I want, until I don’t feel 100%. I already know what I need to eliminate to get back to feeling better and myself. So I find myself going on and off when it comes to eating clean. I caught myself in this cycle over the last couple months, and this blog post is an accountability for me to try and break that habit!
(My version of eating clean can vary from what yours is. Go based off of the foods that make you feel the best version of you! Not everyone’s diet looks the same!!)
This is some of that “real talk” when it comes to health + wellness that I think is lacking. I know that my body thrives off of dark leafy greens, brown rice, and veggies, but why do I just get lazy? I don’t know about you but i’m sick of starting over! One of my goals is to honestly eat really clean 90% of the time or more, and find more the time to make healthy alternative snacks. One of the problems is a super clean, organic diet needs more money… the other is Winnipeg lacks a lot of healthier “alternative” shops.
While, all these things sound like great excuses… there still is none! I know I can get out of this slump, and would like say i’m still relatively healthy, but I can do better, and so can you! So thanks for reading this post… and I hope you can come back to my blog where I will share easy, cheap, and healthy recipes, as well as DIY natural remedies I’m into, and of course more #realtalk.
My goal is to create a community of health & wellness, and empower those to nourish their bodies. We’re here talk about the power of food and show that healthy looks different on everyone!!
