6 Wellness Tips for Travelling


My Wellness Tips for Travel:

I'm getting so excited for my summer travels, and I've been thinking hard about how I don't want to lose any healthy habits while I'm away. My last vacation I think went pretty well, so I'm hoping to use those tips n tricks from before and even implement some new ones!

My goal is to come back without catching some type of cold, not feeling like I have to “re-set” and hopefully come back with a happy gut!


1. Hydration

Staying hydrated is key. Even when not travelling it's so important to drink water! I bring my water bottle literally every where I go. I'll be bringing a re-usable water bottle with me to fill up on the plane ride, and keep by my side the entire vacation. We'll be doing lots of walking and exploring and I don't want to have to hunt for water! 

2. Probiotics (Gut Health)

I take probiotics here and there. While my gut health has been fairly good, i'll be indulging in foods and not so strict so this time around I'm bringing a probiotic to make sure my gut is in check! 

3. Sanitation wipes

There.are.so.many.germs.on.planes. Most people get sick after travelling due to all the bacteria on planes! Trust me you don't want to know what's on there. I'm bringing sanitation wipes to wipe down the arm rests, and the little tray that pulls out, and if there's any screens I'm wiping those down too! 

4. Healthy Snacks

I hate being hungry and I love snackin’. I'm going to be on a lot of planes so I looked up which foods are allowed past security, that way in each city I can bring some snacks along the way so I'm not hungry! Here’s what I looked up:


  • Granola bars

  • Crackers

  • Bread

  • Hard candies

  • Chips

  • Cookies

  • Chocolate bars

  • Nuts

Non Packaged

  • Fresh fruit (apples, bananas, oranges, etc.)

  • Meat (cooked)

  • Cheese slices or cubes

  • Vegetables

  • Muffins

  • Sandwiches


  • Supplements

5. Move your body

Most likely when you're travelling you'll be doing lots of walking! However, if you need something a little extra, wake up a little earlier and explore the city and go for a run, or do a little hotel/air bnb workout! Another fun way to get movin' is renting bikes. Most cities have bike rentals, and it's a fun way to explore, change it up instead of walking and it get's you moving!

6. Find flexibility

Enjoy the food. Focus on nourishing your body but also have fun indulging! You can start fresh at every meal! Make sure to listen to your body, and assess how you're feeling. A great tip I like to do is always have a healthy breakfast, and try and get some sort of veggie in my meals. You can still treat yourself, while eating veggies. It doesn't have to be one or the other.
