Get Rid of Acne Scars (Ordinary Review).

I'm not sure what's worse, getting a pimple or having to deal with the scar it leaves behind for weeks on end. If you're like me- acne scars can take weeks or months to heal. If you're struggling with acne scars or hyper pigmentation and uneven skin tone, I've got some product reviews for you!

3 months ago I purchased a few products from the Ordinary line. I was personally looking for something that would help with evening my skin tone and help speed up acne scarring. I only get a few breakouts here and there but they heal so slowly. Scarring can take up to a few months on end to go away.

My skin routine currently consists of Tea Tree oil and the Turmeric Stick from Cocokind. If I have a breakout I use the turmeric stick and then put some tea tree oil on it after. I continue to do this until the breakout is healed, and scarring begins to disappear. I would consider this a spot treatment. For my skin type it would still take a really long time for the scar to completely disappear, which is why I went on the hunt to find something to speed it up!

After doing some research I found out Lactic Acid and Vitamin C can help with brightening the skin, help even skin tone and scarring. I've heard of these products from the Ordinary site before so I decided to check it out on there. I purchased Rosehip Oil, Lactic Acid, and Vitamin C. All three products were about $22.00 before taxes, what a steal!

If you use the Lactic Acid and Vitamin C together it actually makes it less effective. I'll rotate between the two products every few days. Both products are best used before bed or anytime in the PM. When you first start using the Lactic Acid and Vitamin C you'll experience a bit of a tingling sensation. Make sure to only use a little bit at first so you build a tolerance. The reason you experience the tingling sensation is because you're getting vitamin C at a higher concentration and in it's pure form.

If you're like me who gets a breakout but then has to deal with the scarring from it for weeks on end I would definitely recommend these products. I've noticed using the products is evening my skin tone over all and the rosehip oil has really give me a nice complexion. Especially in the winter months my skin tone can become patchy and quit uneven.

I’ve been using these products for slightly over three months. With the combination of all three I find my skin texture to be very smooth, and firm! Within the three months I did experience a breakout, and the scars are healing quite rapidly compared to not using the products. As reference, in the past some scars could take up to 6 months on my skin to completely disappear!

ill definitely continue to use the Vitamin C serum but may look into testing out other products once I’m done the lactic acid.
