Creamy Cashew Pasta Sauce


Living a healthy lifestyle does not mean we have to deprive ourselves! We can still enjoy foods that fulfill our cravings. If you’re not consuming dairy. gluten, or wheat and are wanting to indulge in a creamy pasta, then you’ll love this pasta sauce!

The combination of the cashews and garlic mimics a creamy Alfredo sauce, perfect for when that craving strikes!


2 Cups of Brown Rice Pasta

1 Cup of Cashews

1 Clove of Garlic

1/4 Cup of Nutritional Yeast

1/4 Teaspoon of Sea Salt

1/4 Teaspoon of Paprika

1/4 Teaspoon of Cumin

1/4 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper


Begin with boiling water and soaking the cashews for 30 minutes. Once cashews have soaked, keep 1/2 cup of water to blend in food processor. Add cashews to the food processor and add 1/4 cup of water. Blend for about 2-3 minutes. Add the nutritional yeast, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper and salt and glove or garlic. Blend for another 1 minute. Add another 1/4 cup of water and continue to blend again for another 1 minute. Once mixture is smooth pour over cooked pasta. Optional to mix some Sriracha hot sauce.

Top pasta with sautéed veggies of your choice. To give it that extra “cheesyness” top it with some vegan cheese and enjoy!
